I've always used the most basic ones you can find at Walmart or Radio Shack. They run between $5 and $10 normally. I don't have a specific brand or anything though.

I bought mine from home depot for like, $7? It has a couple interchangeable tips, a stand, and a plastic thing...
It works well though :)

I use a butane powered one from Radio Shack, refillable, and has been put through hell and back and its still rockin and rollin

If you're using it for punching holes in plastic tubs then the cheapest one you can find is the best one. Just make sure you keep the tip pointing down all the time, I've burned them out before by holding it tip up and letting the heated liquid plastic that was sticking to the tip drip back into the guts of the soldering iron which ruined it pretty quickly.

I got a very basic one from Lowes for like $13. Plugs into the wall. Came with a few things. I don't knew the brand though.
I couldn't find any at our wal mart.
