I'll be in ATL for a few weeks in May, any spots or reptile shows that I should checkout?

No reptile shows are scheduled here in May (the next one is in July). But if you have the time - check out the Georgia Aquarium!

ditto. I have had some good luck herping in my back yard, so maybe you'll have some luck where you're staying. If you're around the Chattahoochee river, I know there are a lot of water snakes to be found all up and down the river (not so much around the parks though).
