I've never heard of these other than traditional Catholic weddings. Is that what this is? All I know is that my cousin had to lie about living with her now husband

Yea that is a big no no in the Catholic world. But who am I to say....got prego without being married ....kept the baby...not the guy...lol.

They are going to ask you about your likes, dislikes, kids, how well you know your fiance etc. They will typically give you a questionaire to see how much you KNOW each other. Stuff like that to make sure you are on the same page and to talk about things that you might not be on the same page with. Pretty painless!!

If you're lucky, they'll talk to you like adults about useful things, like how to manage money, or how to fight without doing it in front of the kids; if you're unlucky, they'll talk to you like you're 16 year-old kids, and you'll mostly get an earful on how contraception and abortion are evil.

But most likely it'll be something in the middle.

Never did a Catholic wedding...but we did do pre-marital counseling with our pastor before our Baptist wedding. We did some personality quizzes and compatibility tests...mostly fun stuff and a little bit insightful. And we talked about things like real-life expectations from each other....made sure we were on the same page about having kids...how to raise them...money issues...stuff like that. Personally, I enjoyed our sessions.
