Help Estimate My Ball Python's Age!
I'm wondering how old my ball python is; the pet shop didn't know. I obviously know you can't pinpoint it exactly, but a range would be nice. I'm mainly wondering if he's under 6 months.

So he's about 20" long, about 170g... and he's a bit thin. You can see wrinkles when he folds his body over, and his skin is a little loose. (he was like this when I got him, I'm shortening his feeding cycle to help him grow now)

Here's a video I took of him feeding, hopefully that'll give a visual reference:

Probably a few months old, perhaps about 3-4 months?

I once took in an almost 2yr old bp who only weighed 165g due to them feeding pinkies.

Watch the mouse like the other posting said.

Looks like that mouse was trying to take a bite out of crime ans just couldnt.

They love to bite and fight back if the opportunity is there...

Yeah, pet shops seem to underfeed and keep them small. Two years old is unlikely IMO, but 6 months to 1 year is quite possible. It's probably safe to say he's a 2009.

At least it looks like he's getting appropriately-sized meals now!

I'd put him on a 5 day feed schedule, til he's up to 500g

I would say a late '09! Likely under 6 months!
