im pretty sure my BP is a normal but in the sunlight her scales glow purple pretty noticeably, could this be some type of BP morph or is that with every norm?

That happens with most snakes when you put them out in the sunlight. The reflection off of their scales seems to have some different colors, like blue, purple, green, etc.:)

Thats their outermost skin protectant looks like oil slick. Its the clear waterproof barrier over the pigmented scales. very noticeable after a fresh shed.

Its called iridescence. It is caused by tiny ridges on the scales that reflect light.
I saw a zoomed in picture of the scales once that showed the ridges but I can't find it.

Did you buy it at a show or pet store? If you did then chances are it's a normal because most know their morphs and will sell them at a higher price than normals. Normals come in slighty different patterns and colours!
