    Baby Frequency?
How often do ASF's have babies?..and is there anything that would be slowing a group down from breeding? I have had 1.3 ASF's for several months now, and have only had 1 litter so far. Now the babies from the only litter are almost half way full grown, and I have still not had another litter from any of the other females. I feel like with this ratio and in this amount of time I would have had several litters of normal rats. Do these rats take longer to breed, or is there something that may be slowing them down?

At this point I have the breeding quartet and all the babies still together.

Females can become pregnant within hours of giving birth to their litter so you can possibly have babies every 3 weeks.

When I used to raise ASF my females were birthing every 3 weeks as they would get older the litters would be more space out and smaller.

Can you think of any reason why I would have only had one litter in several months? Is there anything that may slow these rats breeding down?

I had this issue when I was doing a 1.3 I have now made all 1.2 and I get babies every 3 weeks. What are you feeding? and how are they set up? They do not like to be on display. I covered the front of my tanks snd they started breeding like crazy.

    Every 26-28 days in a 1.2 colony.

In a 1.3, whenever they feel like it, if ever. But definitely not like clockwork.
