Field herpers eat your heart out
So today my 2nd grade classes had a field trip to see the new Earth movie Sea Life. Afterwards six 2nd grade classes were going to the park for lunch. We were stopped at the entrance to the park.....the worker stated that the park was being closed due to finding over 8 rattlesnakes and seeing up to 20 more that they were trying to catch. Off in the distance you could see 8 park workers and 2 fire trucks with several firemen out there, all with buckets and hooks in hand. While talking to the main guy....I asked if they were babies thinking maybe they came up on a clutch. Apparently these were all 3-4 feet in length. Crazy!! Well tis the season!!
On a funny note...all of the kids know that I have snakes and one little boy lowered the window on the bus and said...."Ms. Michelle ....are you here catching the snakes".....lol....me - ahhhhhhhhhh NO!!! Same little boy saw me at school later and said..."Ms. Michelle do you have those rattle snakes in your car?"

This has been a good year. I'm on my third snake already in just my yard. I'm going to update the thread I started Sunday with the new little one.

This is one of the things that really makes me hate the fact I live in Canada... there's not enough snakes! Yeah, okay, we've got garter snakes. Whoo...
At least, that's all we've got for the area I live in. I wanna see some rattlers, though! And rat snakes! Grrr!
