I am using Aspen right now and I made a humid hide filled with sphagnum moss. Any suggestions?

Re: Substrate
With aspen no need for a Humid hide. It holds humidity great.. just mist them once a day after their eye's clear up form shed and you should be good to go.

Unless you use a tank in a lower humidity climate, then a humid hide can be very beneficial.
Rhyno47 just make sure to remember to keep it nice and damp during shed periods and your good to go.

Good point!
Just a note for those that may live in a drier climate. A little mod to the tank (like covering the screen top with foil and duc-tape "black looks the best") and you can still do away with the humid hide if you wish to. There is absolutely nothing wrong with providing one it's simply keeper preference.
just my two cents..

Re: Substrate
Im used to using them for my torts. My BP has been chosing to use that hide rather than the dry warm one on the other side of the tank also.

Re: Substrate
Are you using a probed thermometer to get the temperature inside of the hide?
Maybe it's too hot over there*says the snake to himself*
