SD Retic!!

Just put a reservation on a little female '10 SD retic! I'm super excited! I've been working with the giants for a while, and have always wanted one but I figure I'd start out small. I've been doing the homework for a loooooong time, and finally feel confident enough in my experience and knowledge to own my own "little" retic.

Can't wait to feed my little girl for the first time! I hope I can keep all my fingers ;)

I'll get some photos of her up here once she arrives near the end of may. Just too excited to keep her to myself. :P

Of every snake in my house my 2 favorites are my SD retics! Even my long term captive boy. He's fiesty but has never even struck. I can calm him down in a matter of minutes. They are so different from any other snake. Take your big guys and add an extra dose of sassy, a helping of "leave me the heck alone!" independence, a heaping spoonful of "feed me NOW!... lol and a serving of "gosh I love my owner. I think I'll make him laugh today".... and there you have an SD :rolleyes:

I got her from the guys at royal constictor designs. I've been talking to Garrick, I think. She's super pretty. I'm in live already. Those big ol' orange-yellow eyes stole my heart :D

I don't mean to hijack...how big do SD's get? I love retics, but don't really want a snake that large.

I ordered one of his '10 SD as well I am waiting on mine..... :):):)

He is shipping mine out on the 24th of May and it is taking way too long to get here....... :gj:

Females should get no bigger than 6-7 ft. My F is just under 6 ft at 3 years old and my M is 5 ft at about 6 years old.

I will tell you they have quite the feeding response. I love my little guy hes about 300 grams right now I got him back in sept at only 80 grams or so. He's an eating machine and just keeps getting bigger. They have alot of personality. I am sure you will enjoy your now little one.
