    Accurite indoor/outdoor thermometer problems
The two temperature sensors are working perfectly. For some reason my humidity probe just says 'LO%' of 'HI%'

Are there any reasons for this? Should I just take it back?

    Hi,

Where is the base unit and what do you think the humidity should be there?

Is the battery in it a new one?

Have you tried removing the battery for an hour or so then putting it back in?

Have you modified the unit in any way?

I did modify it, but the sensor was working until I put it into the empty enclosure. I closed the doors and an hour later it wasn't working.

I cleaned it with some IPA and then it worked for a few minutes and packed in again. I'm going to get it replaced tomorrow and hope the new unity works

    Hi,

It sounds like a dodgy connection with the humidity sensor so I would have a look at that before buying a new unit.

I did. I desoldered it, replaced the wire with a new one and re soldered it. I didn't burn anything.

I think i might of shorted out the chip though. When I initially put it back together, I tagged the wire with a screw. That could of sent a short through the wire a screwed the chip.

Other than that, I'm all out of ideas as to why its not working.
