Feeling Follicles

At what point would you feel for follicles? Before the pre-lay shed? After? etc...

I'm really bad at it, so I feel for follicles once I see a build, or building behavior for more than a week or so.

Everyone does it differently.

Feeling for follicles is typically a pre-ovulation activity. Once they've ovulated the deed is done.

I typically try a couple of months after pairing has started and then again a month later to check for growth. I agree, everyone does it differently.
