My BP from before we new about all the morphs
    Morning all,

Here is a picture of a PB that I got back in 93. At that time I believe the only morph was Bob Clark's albino. Now looking back at this little guy I think there was something special about him. What do you think he may have been?

I am now just getting back into ball pythons, starting my collection with a male sable and a group of het clowns. Also looking to ass a female pin and mojo before breeding season next year.

Let me know what you think of the little guy pictured above.

He was cute. Nice dorsal striping and reduced pattern. I'm not sure if he was any morph, but he would have make a nice dinker.

I feel for you, I had a BP way back in the day before I knew diddly about morphs and Id love to have him back to dink around with. I think I have an old pic of him..

Not a great pic, but you can see how dark he was and the white patch towards his tail.

I love the black patches on the one you had Looks like his eyes might have been light colored as well?

Yea, I didn't think anything of him, like I said at that time albinos were the only morph that was known. I had him for a few years and got married, when I did that we move to a place that didn't allow pets, but I talked them into letting me keep the snake. That was fine and good until a feeder mouse got out and into the neighbors side of the duplex.

Sold it to a friend, and I am not sure what happened to him but he pasted away. He was a very good pet snake.

Wish I had dinked with him

A dinker from what I understand , is an unproven morph, a "normal" that seems special ? I THINK. Still learning lol.

That's pretty much it. It's an animal that has something unusual in it's markings or coloration. To find out if it's genetic, you would basically breed it to another normal. If the babies display the same characteristics then it's genetic. If not, then it's just something peculiar to that specific snake. If there is anymore to it than that, I don't know what it is. But that one in the OP's photo looks like it could have had something swimming in the gene pool...
