    are there any venomous python species out there? i figured no but decided to ask just in case i was wrong.
    a kid in my neighborhood told my daughter pythons are poisonous & im eager to clear this up with that kid so that my daughters not getting misinformation.
    i plan on buying a BP soon & i dont want her being fearful of any "pythons" if theres no venomous ones.

    No such thing whatso ever. Now if the Python is very very sick and you get bit, you might get an infection from the bacteria, but they are NOT poisonous.

    Movies have done a terrible thing in portraying some large constrictor pythons with glistening, dagger-like teeth (which they do have) dripping with venom (which they do not).
