Odd pic request

hey everyone, so Im thinking of getting a tattoo, and I want one of a boa. I want to get it on my side . I cant really find a pic of what i want tho... i want the boa to be slithering up my side- and i was wondering if anyone has any pics of their boa's slithering away like that and wouldn't mind it if i took it(the pic, not the boa :p) to a tattoo artist..

I found this really cool site and all you have to do is sign up and it will give you millions of art pictures and drawings and there was this one I saw of a boa and a cross it was pretty sick but here is the website try it out....

Another good site for more pictures than you can look at in your lifetime is elfwood. Mostly fantasy art but I have seen some awesome snakes.

Deviant Art is a great site, however I would recommend getting the artist's permission prior to using it for a tattoo.

i'm thinking you're more meaning you need a photo to take to the artist to give them an idea of body position etc right?

I just got my snake done on my back, best thing to do is pick out the type of boa you really like. And what else you want into the tattoo, if you want the snake VERY realistic it's going to be a big tattoo because it's hard to get that much detail into something small. I tried that, didn't work out how I wanted but I still like it. Make it your own custom tattoo, find yourself a good artist and do some re-search on him before just going to him.

Take all your ideas, and talk about what you like and how you want it to look and if the artist is able he should put it together just how you like it.

Tina, I absolutely LOVE that second pic- the head is perfect for what i want!!

Laura- thank you for the suggestion of lots of pics- im deff going to do that... I've picked out a place to do it.. and so now im looking through all of my books and also found a bunch of pics online that im going to print out....

the hardest part now is getting the funds for it, since it is going to be a fairly big tattoo... but hopefully the ball will start rolling soon.. im got a job recently so thats more money coming in for the tat :D... and im also trying not to scare myself with the thought of the pain that im gonna endure... im not good with pain so this should be really interesting...

I post my artwork and photography to deviantart.com and a number of other sites.. I would be extremely displeased if someone stole (yes stole) my work to use as a tattoo without my permission.

Most artists will be very accomidating if you send them a note asking permission, i know i would :)
