    Same old Question
I know that it has probably been asked a million times but if the room temperature stays fairly constant (+ or - 5 degrees), what reasoning is there against using a lamp dimmer as a thermostat for a rack?

Or would one of these work well? http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=66&de=768388

    Re: Same old Question
I was wondering that same question until I got my snake rack up and going. If water spills over a bit when you shut one of the drawers, it causes the humidity to rise and with that temps rise as well. This can be a major problem if temp in your house gets +5 degrees especially if you use a rack system where humidity is held really well. If your using it for an aquarium or something different I would imagine that you would be fine.

You could give that big apple therm. a shot but if you have a rack, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a temp gun so you can check your temps throughout each level to make sure everything is where it needs to be. Hope that helps.
