Herpstat ND or II?

so I was just wondering what would you choose? im getting it for a rack.

Tried to seach for somthing like this but couldnt really find anything.

Depends. Is this for an adult breeder rack or hatchling rack?

Well just to be clear.

The ND is a better version of the Herpstat (1). It comes with extra features.

The II, is basicaly 2 herpstats in one. Each can run its own temp setting.

After posting that I did more research and found that out haha but it will be for a adult rack

I use Herpstat II's on all of my racks, dividing each rack into 2 heating sections to get more even temps between levels.
With a 10 level, 30 total bin adult rack, or a 15 level, 75 total bin hatchling rack, this setup works great.

Dion and his Herpstat II's are pretty far ahead of the market. With the II, you also have the ability to plug in a data probe into the thermostat and to your computer, and you can monitor all of the heating stats remotely. Plus, the software will send out emails / text messages / IM pings if the thermostat crosses any of your defined thresholds. So, if the temp drops below a set threshold of 85 degrees, an audible alarm can sound and you can be alerted immediately.

The down side, at the moment, is that the software can only handle one Herpstat II. So in order to have this set up on all of your racks, you'd need a computer per rack, which is kind of extreme. I've spoken to Dion about adding the ability to handle multiple thermostats from the software, and a wireless transmitter, kind of a wireless bridge, to the Herpstat II's so the cable would be unnecessary. However, as I stated, the technology is further ahead than the market's desire, for now ;)
