Baby Problem Feeders

So I tried feeding my baby BPs today and only one of them took the food. At first I tried f/t for all of them and none of them even made an attempt to eat or even strike at it. When I dropped a few hoppers in for the larger babies, and only one of them killed and ate one of the hoppers. What would you guys recommend I do to try and feed the other 9 babies. One of the 9 was also very defensive and kept striking at the hopper but never coiled around it or tried to hold on so it is extremely injured but not dead. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get these babies to eat?? I really don't want them to starve... :(

How do you have them housed? These are the 10 imported babies that you recently got at a show, right?

Yes, I got them from the show, I have 6 of them in their own containers, and (2) in 2 containers, so thats 8 tubs total holding 10 snakes at the moment.

If it hasnt been that long I would try not disturbing them in any way for a solid week and at dusk offering a small hopper mouse like 3-4grams. I would avoid assisting as long as their bodies look good.

If you have limited space (housing 2 in one enclosure)cycle the ones that ate into the 2 house enclosure so you can put the non eaters alone and again leave them undisturbed for days then offer a small moving prey item. best of luck. Always offer the food to solo snakes. when its time to feed the eaters split them up in the morning and give them some hours alone and offer food.

Need more details - what size are the containers, what substrate are you using, what temps are you keeping them, etc?

Try leaving one in a small paper bag with a live fuzzy mouse or a pink rat (something that won't bite) overnight. I've never tried it with BPs, but it's worked great for me with my sand boa.
