so whoever knos how petco works, people can put animals up for adoption for free and someone put up a 4 year old FEMALE PINSTRIPE ball python up for adoption which had originally belonged to the ladys son who was in college.. the lady didnt wana take care of it anymore so she put it up for adoption -_-

my sister told me about it (she's vaguely familiar with morphs) and i guess in that same day, someone saw it, and adopted it... it came with a custom 25 gallon tank.. FML

I actually work at Petco and we will "adopt" any animal as long as you provide the full setup for it (cage, food bowl/water, etc.). It's pretty gnarly.

    P.S.

So yeah, technically the situation you described does happen and if you inquire about it you may be able to get some really cool snakes at really cheap prices.

I'm sure that was the exception and not the rule. My guess would be that most of the snakes that are put up for adoption would need a lot of attention.

    Just my opinion,

i can imagine that son is gonna be upset if he comes home to find his snake gone...unless he already knows. at least the lady did the right thing by putting it up for adoption & not in some shelter where they'd just kill it after a few days.
