    Calico VS Sugar, Your thoughts?
From what I hear, Calico and sugar are the same. But it seems that some breeders differentiates the two. So I just want to hear what you guys have to say about this.

My understanding is that sugars have white speckles, with not much black back, has alien heads Tend to be lower in white than Calicos. like this: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?p=941466

Calicos on the other hand, has lots of black on its back white side (similar to what you see on spiders), minimal alien heads, cleaner looking in general. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...threadid=73911 (scroll down)

Do you think this is another case of Lesser vs Butter? or do you think it's more definitive than that?

Calicos and Sugars are like Lessers and Butters, and Cinnamons and Black Pastels. Essentially they are the same morph that produce similar combos but don't produce EXACTLY the same results. The line of Calico/Sugar seems to heavily influence what the animals look like. FOr instance the "Flora Fauna" line of Calico produces animals similar to the "Snake Keeper Line" sugars. While some of the other calico lines do not produce as "whacked out" animals.

I have a personal preference for Sugars so I acquired a Sugar this year from Tom Harbin.

Listen to the last Reptile Radio with TSK... They have some valid points you may want to hear...
