What size prey for this guy? And is this bin too small?
I have been feeding him small mice, as that's all I had for the last two feeds, but I think they are too small. He is almost a year old, should he be on rats? If so what size?

Also, does this look way too small for him? He was in a bigger bin when he was with his previous owner, but I set this up as I was told he was way smaller than he is. He is eating and seems quite calm in there, but I do have a bigger bin as well. What do you all think? Should I move him up to the bigger bin? The bin he is in is a 14 quart bin, I have a 32 quart available to put him in.
Oh, and he has a better hide now, a nice black plastic one. And I added more holes so the humidity is a bit less now.

Ummm, the enclosure might be a little small. You'll have to upgrade eventually anyway right, so if you feel that you should it's not something that wasn't coming anyway.

I think this guy could take a weaned rat, which, if I am not mistaken, is about 30-45grams and about the same size as a jumbo mouse.

That tub looks just fine to me.. of course I like to my snakes in smaller tubs..they seem to eat better that way..

Tub size looks fine to me. The snake looks to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 grams. A snake that size could most definitely eat at least two adult mice or a weaned rat (about 50-60g in weight using the 10-15% of body weight rule).

A small mouse weights about 20g, just to give you an idea of how much you are currently feeding him.

Thanks very much.:) I will look for some rats or at least jumbo mice. I think I'll leave him for now in that tub. I think he is comfy in there. I had him eating less than a week after I got him, so he couldn't be too stressed right?:)
