Did you know bp.net has its very own chat box??

Yes! they do! There should be a link at the top of every page... "ChatBox Full". Click it to talk to some other bp.net members in a (kind of) live chat! I don't even know why it says full, there is almost never anyone in there!

No one is really ever in there and I feel like we should be making better use of it :P


PS. Admin, is there anyway for us to get a chat upgrade? perhaps a flashchat with instant update? If so, how much would that cost? I would be more than willing to donate to upgrading the bp.net experience :)

Yeah I know that! I am just giving everyone who DOESN'T the heads up.

I check it every day and I rarely see people there :(

There needs to be a certain time we all get on there and chat. That would be kinda fun, although I type too slow to chat I can read!! :8:

ChatBox Full is for the full chatbox on its own page instead of looking at the bottom. Thats why the "full" is there :cool:

It was never intended to be a full chat, but rather a "shout" box for people to stop in and give a shout out to each other. We had it at the top when we first added it, but more and more people were using it to ask questions that were better suited for the forums.

And we can't archive chats to be searchable to new users, so valuable advice was being lost in the chat area, that we preferred to remain in the forums.

We intentionally put it at the bottom, so that it was available for folks who enjoyed it, without making it the focus of BP.net - as we never intended it to be a main part of BP.net, but rather an a accessory if you will.

I understand that. I just feel that it doesn't really get enough use. I would like to get to know my fellow member a little better and a chat is a great way to do it. But it kinda sucks when no one is ever in it :(

On another forum I use regularly (hermit crabs), we have a Friday chat night. I feel a bit stupid suggesting it, but I love interacting with other users through that, so it would be wonderful if a chat night was organized here too.:)
