She finally ate and thank youz
Well my al albino finally ate, she hunted it down. It took 15 minutes and I was just about to through it in another tub, when bam. The funniest crap ever though was my pastel(in tub beside her) apparently smelled the mouse and stuck his head out and looked both ways and then patrolled his tub. It was hilarious caUse after a while be went back in his hide but kept his Jerad popped out just in case. also tha nk you to everyone that
helped in last thread. I ended up with fatboys paper ideal and a smaller tub

Thats awesome. See? Its not usually very serious if one wont eat right away. A few tricks of the trade and they always start eating at some point. Congrats :gj:

Glad she ate, continue the paper for a while. 15 minutes is not long enough to give in either. I have good eaters that take longer than 15 minutes to hunt and attack. I would allow atleast 30 minutes each feeding before removing the prey.

yea i understadn that but i had a class, in a hour, it had to be, done, also i got tired of checking in every other second, i was scared the rat might bite her, or do you just throw the rat in and check ever so often, i would of fed on saturda, my normal feeding day, but buying a live mouse in my town is like trying to buy herion, well in this time it might be easier, lol

Easy on the herion big boy...it will make you see purple hippos!! :rolleye2: I put the live prey in and just hang out around the room. I feed 100 snakes so I really can't leave anyway. They are not prone to bite the snake unless left for a good while, don't let that comment make you lazy though, they still shouldn't be left unattended. The other likely time for your snake to get bit is during the coil. I start dropping rats from tub to tub, most will take imediately and I will check the coil before moving on. If they do not take imediately I keep feeding until I hear a take. When I hear a strike I stop, go back and check the coil, then move on. Once I have fed all the snakes, 30-45 minutes, I start back from the beginning and check for rats. If they have not ate I remove the rat. In all honesty I think a rat would have to be left in a tub over night to do any harm....But let's not try that :colbert:
