HSUS: Animal Welfare or Self Enrichment
"After all, HSUS is still a little bit shy of $204 million in assets,
and Pacelle has to earn his six-figure salary. Earn it how? Excellent
question. Less than 4% of HSUS income goes to hands-on care of
    animals."

agreed, i always wonder how easily hard working Americans give up their money to causes without the slightest bit of research... makes me feel at least hopeful that i can go invent some dumb idea and make millions off of it tho lol... (sarcasm).

Of the approximately 87 million in donations made in 2008, 37% went to salaries, almost 5% went to pensions, and almost 25% went to RAISING MORE MONEY!

The majority of the rest went to lobbying and lawsuits. Less than one-half of one percent (.45%) was redirected to local animal shelters in need (and ONLY in crises situations and ONLY when the shelters requested it).

If you haven't already checked out www.humanewatch.org, check it out today! They have a facebook group with almost 30,000 "followers" in a VERY short period of time. They're doing a TON to expose HSUS for who they really are.
