Shedding discoloration

Do snakes become darker when their about to shed? Like I know when my beardie is getting ready to, he turns grayish. Same with my leopards. Does this happen with snakes too?

Yes, there is often a mild change in color, normally a blueish or grey tinge. My pewters almost appear bluish purple.:D

also right before they go opaque, their bellies get a sort of pinkish tinge to them
