I think people are overreacting. It's got about the same calorie content as a Big Mac.

No go on the KFC. We've got a place called Royal Farm Stores, that blow KFC away when it comes to fried chicken and fries.

Good luck with the hardening of the arteries.;)

no thanks. I prefer to stay away from fast food places, and cook for myself. So, I actually don't know what a KFC "double down" truly is.

    From KFC's website: http://www.kfc.com/doubledown/

"The new KFC Double Down sandwich is real! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe® or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun! » Watch the TV Commercial
The Double Down comes in two versions – Original Recipe® or Grilled and the nutrition information is below."

Sandwich Calories Fat (g) Sodium (mg)
    Original Recipe® Double Down 540 32 1380

If you're low-carbing it, the Grilled version would be money!

    Re: Double Down
Well they have it in grilled chicken (rather than fried, as shown above).

Grilled chicken is healthy. Can't deny that.
