    Pictures. finally!!!
Okay my new camera arrived in the mail yesterday and so I took a few pictures of my first ever clutch. This is between one of my normal females and my pinstripe male. Exclusive pairing so I know Im only getting normals and pinstripes. May not be a super wow clutch but its exciting for me non the less. I am concerned about the dark spots and the greenish/yellowish tinge on the top egg, but so far there is veins in all of them. Let me know what you think. thanx. Enjoy.

Andromeda not to happy about being moved.

What kind of bedding is in that lay box?

I'd say that color is coming from the moss in the lay box, and would thus be nothing to worry about. Also, if you're trying maternal incubation, I've read that they'll urinate (or excrete some other fluid) on the eggs to increase humidity for the eggs. Either way, great looking clutch!

    Cheers,

So, let me get this straight.....the females will actually pee on their eggs? Wow. I think this is one for the "fascinating snake facts" thread....

thanx everyone.. it is Sphagnum moss.. used to put on top of potted plants to help keep the soil moist. I am helping her keeps things moist by misting the moss every other day. My house is dry so when the thermometer reads anything lower than 82% I mist a bit. kewl, then I have nothing to worry about the dark spots. I have candled them and do see veins. I will post a picture of that hoepfully soon. I get excited seeing other peoples posts of their clutches.. now that its one of my own.. I can't describe the feeling!!! Thanx again.
