Hide box recommendations?
Can anyone recommend a good hidebox for an 8 month BP? The reptile store provided me with a 1/2 log, but further research is indicating that this may not be a good choice. I'm open to anything cheap, homemade, etc. Thanks!

You can use anything really, so long as its the right size and you can keep it clean. I have 3 400-450g BPs right now that use salad bowls from pizza pizza. :D

I use the "Medium" sized hides from Reptile Basics. In the beginning I wasn't very fond of them because my BPs would move them around. But then I though that was actually a good thing. You might not feel the same way if you are using a tank and not a rack though.

Yep, I saw that post right after my post.:) The salad bowls are a great idea. Thanks for your response.

I use dark brown tortilla holders from the dollar store.
At $1.00 the price is right, and they are big enough for even my 1,100 gram pastel male.
For smaller snakes, I use dark blue dollar store cereal bowls. They come two or three to a package.

I’ve still been looking for a good/permanent hide box(s) online... right now I actually use boxes... like Mac n cheese box, or cereal box. Just leave top open, lay sideways. They curl up in the back and it works perfect.

Nothing like offering help to someone 8 years later especially since they have not been back in 8 years either ;)
