Change the bedding in my 40g tank completely. I use cypress mulch. I clean out the spots that he soils whenever he does.The owner i bought it from told me about every 3 months but thought id ask u experts.:bow:

I know some people dont do a FULL change but once every 6 months

I clean out completely with aspen about every 6 weeks or as needed!

Oh, I am still new but I have been doing a full clean every month. Is that overkill?

I don't think there's such a thing as too much unless you're cleaning out the whole set up every day. That could be stressfull for your snake. I personally do a full out scrub down at the end of every month.

Its up to you but you can tell if its getting too smelly and dirty!
