BP insurance?
I have heard of a few burglaries in my area where almost entire BP collections were taken or one guy who had all his Pieds taken.
Then my apartment was burglarized, lucky they just took my electronics and left my snakes alone.
I called USAA and asked them if my renters insurance would cover my BPs and was told the renters insurance only covered my racks and any liability if my snakes bit anyone.
So I was wondering if anyone know if there is any insurance that you can get that will cover you ball python morphs?

Re: BP insurance?
From what I've heard, snakes fall under the same category as live stock. You can insure against income loss (if you are doing this for a living, for example), but you can't insure the animals themselves.

I believe you are correct because when I got my renters insurance I had to give what animals I owned and how much they cost roughly.

On my insurance, I can claim all my husbandry stuff, cages, stats, incubator, etc etc
But not the animals

Re: BP insurance?
A quick web search turned up brokers offering theft insurance on livestock, so it exists. Just have to hunt around.

Its finding the ones that will cover them in case of fire that will be tricky

You are correct. My cousin is in insurance and used to specialize in writing unusual policies. And you are also correct in that it ain't gonna be cheap.
