    Skip a feeding?
    hello forum, quick question...

Tuesday as usual, time to feed Roxanne (my female common BP), I set her in her separate feeding enclosure like I always do and I heat up her f/t mouse (i use the artic mice, the medium sized ones), present it to her...she strikes...she eats it,I take the snake hook I have for her, and was preparing to fish her out, when she slid into the back corner again and coiled up to strike...she's never done this before when I've gone to pick her up,only when she knows the food is coming...so I went and thawed another mouse (this kind is still artic mice brand but it was a small one) I presented the small one,she struck and ate that one as well...when I checked on her she was splayed out,and I grabbed the hook, she didnt move,I lifted her up and brought her back to her tub and she slithered right into her hide,no problem...

no she's a young girl, the breeder told me she was about 8-9 months old when I bought her so now shes's about a year or so old, I know that means shes old enough for rat pups, but when I offered her one she didnt take it...so I feed her the f/t artic medium sized mice, one every 5 days (since due to sickness she was on the thin side)...so do I skip her feeding on sunday? since she ate so much?or should I upgrade to bigger food?

    thanks, Tiny

I would just start feeding her 2 mice every 7 days. That should be fine for her :)

    x2

I totally hear you on the mouse/rat conversion thing! My 4-year-old 1500g girl still won't take rats! :P But it's not a problem; mice are just as good as rats, except that I have to feed her 3 or so for every feeding.
