how big of a meal can a ball eat?
I have a pomeranian and i am concerned that as i grow my snake collection that she may be tempting. Especially to a hungry one.

So would love to know how big of a meal that a full sizer would try.

I dont want her to get hurt or be expensive snake food.

    really intreged to know

    many thank

a jumbo rat is actually to big for a bp, you have no worries about your pom. even if you had a retic or a burm as long as you keep the cage secured you wouldnt have to worry.

Balls will go after rodents or maybe a small bunny at best! It will strike at a dog to say get away but thats about it!

The ball isn't going to swallow your pompom, but I wouldn't go letting them play together anyhow.

If you feed your snake appropriately sized meals weekly, then your snake should never "go after" any other animal.

A Pomeranian is far to big to be eaten by a ball python. Adult ball pythons can take a small-medium sized rat just fine and should never need anything bigger.

Just don't let your snakes canoodle with your dog and there will be no issue.

thankyou for your words of wisdom.

my pom isnt much bigger than my foot and i was just conserned that one day an accident could happen.

as she is an oversized rat.. and that i hadn't seen an adult next to her.

well that answered that worry. (would of hated for anything to of happened)
i would always keep my snakes secure. but these things always seem to find a way to happen me.

a berm could eat her. .especially if she got crushed first..( if the thing escaped) and that would be as simple as it wantin to..

just wanted to know if it was impossible really.

and of an evenin, of course we might all be around my sofa. wouldnt allow for strike range though.

    appreciate your words, thankyou

it will be easier next year when i upsize as i will keep the snakes to my bedroom...

    hunnie 'the pom' is banned
