    First Litter A Success!!
So the pregnant female I told you all about gave birth last night or this morning. Ater I woke up I went and checked. I found about 9-11 healthy looking little babies. I didn't get an exact count because I didnt want to move the little guys or touch them too much and make the mother angry.

I don't know if she killed any or not but this is a first time mom that just popped out around 10 babies! This is good right? This should mean from here on out she will produce 10+ most likely each time?

I will get pictures either tonight or tomarow for you guys to check out! I'm pumped for my first litter.

How many babies a mother has in her first litter does not indicate how many she will have in her other litters. I have a female that had 5 in her first litter. That is pretty tiny but I bred her again and she popped out 13-14 in her second litter.

Congrats on the litter though. New litters are always exciting.

Normally they litters only get bigger ( For a while that is, then they get older of course) , but randomly Ive had females that give me 15 babys drop 5 or 6, its all just random. Then again, something might have been wrong with the babys and she ate the sick ones. Ive opened the tub to that... not pretty.
