Luck

What do you do when you need some good luck fast?

Some of my tricks:
Eat 3 oranges under 2 minutes
Sit upside down and drink
Wear my lucky jersey


How about you? Selfishly I need some tips. Big hockey game on and I need some luck!

If any of those things work its because you believe it will.. A better way of inducing some luck would be to.. Instead of being anxious, excited or worried, direct a lot of positive energy toward your team. Then believe they will win.

Yes but having rituals does help you believe your helping. :)

Plus I was curious what others do for luck or consider "lucky"

I have been a huge Dallas Cowboys fan my entire life. I know exactly what you mean when you say you have weird things you do to help your team out. Here is some stuff I do -

1. Make sure I take a shower before a game starts. You don't want to feel all dirty or have your hair all messed up before a game starts. In my opinion it is bad luck and will make your team have a bad game.

2. Always have a drink right by you, and also some good snacks. Every time your team makes a good play, take a swig of your drink and eat some food. If they have a bad play, don't touch anything until their next good play. This works sometimes.

3. Always avoid all distractions around you. I will seriously ignore anything who talks to me while I am watching a game. If they walk in the room and say "hey, blah blah blah blah" I wont even respond.

4. Wear some of your teams apparel during the game. They can feel the extra support even if they live 1000+ miles away.

If the boys make it past the first round it will be luck, but you never know in Hockey.

Hey BG You know as well as I do that all bets are off come playoff season.

Philly has a good record against jersey I think we can beat them.


That being said, I hate to say it but boucher isn't a great goalie. We should have traded. Rumor was Vokoun was on the table. And if we had gotten Turco, we'd have been invincible.

Still I fervently believe that philly can make past the first round. even so I'd give anything to keep the caps from getting a cup.
