    Housing a Corn?
What do you guys use to house your corn snakes? Tanks or tubs? Which is easier? I know they require different temps than a ball python, so you cant really put them in the same rack as a ball python.

Do you guys make racks for corn snakes only?

I use both glass tanks and plastic tubs on a racks to house my corns. For the most part, I keep big males on the racks, because they are the easy keepers, who only eat every 14 days and don't require such close monitoring. I keep the females and babies in the glass tanks, so I can keep a close eye on them, as they require more frequent feedings & cleaning, and I like to be able to see exactly when the females shed, as it helps to track their breeding readiness and expected egg laying dates. Corns seem to thrive either way, with only one exception that I have seen. I had an adult male that I switched from a glass tank to a rack tub, and he went crazy, constantly slithering back and forth and working his nose against the edge of the drawer, until he finally got it open a little bit and escaped after a couple of weeks. I put him back in his old tank, and he as been completely mellow ever since. Weird!

Right now my female is in a 66qt tub and seems to be ok :gj: They're a lot lighter and easier to clean than glass, most def.

My corns currently live in this:

Of course, I've since taken the divider out of the top cage to make it one cage but otherwise it's the same as when I made it, and works like a charm for corns. :) Before that, they lived in tanks and tubs and were not as happy.

FYI, this system is four 36x18x14 cages, single piece sides (so all one unit), made of plywood with plexi doors and tile floors.
