Here are a few pics of my ASF Rat Rack
I just finished my new rack for my ASF's. I am in the process of building two more with bigger tubs. I can only house one male and two females in these tubs.

I feed all of my snakes AFS Rats and it is impossible to keep up with them.

    Awesome!

I think 1.2 is perfect. Although that does seem rather small, hey but if it works!

I've tried 1.3 and even 1.4, and all that happens is one female gets stuck feeding all the babies and the pinks at the bottom starve and/or get crushed, but with two maybe three batches of babies at a time, there is a better chance that more of them are going to live long enough to go into the Grow-out bins :)

nice rack looks great.:colbert2: Make sure you put the food in an airtight container( or freeze some). You get bugs before the bag is gone.

You can go 1.3 in those tubs,I have done up to 1.4 in those tubs & have not had any issues.

The tubs are 11"x13 1/2"x5 1/2" Here is the website I got them from.

The tubs that I am using for my two other racks are 20"x15"x5" and I bought them from this website.

The smaller tubs are really two small for much more than 1.2 because it gets pretty crowded once the babies reach weaner size. Both of these tubs are very sturdy built tubs and if you don't have that many ball pythons to feed then the smaller ones work great, but if you have 40+ like me then you will need the larger tubs to be able to breed and hold more ASF's.

Nice setup. I wanted to do a rack, but I prefer the 10gal tanks better.
Heres my setup, the ASF part is at 3:30.

That rack looks great. I've experimented with all different group sizes in all different tubs sizes, and I've found that my best, most consistent production comes from 1.2 and 1.3 groups. I know a lot of people do 1.4, but over and over my other groups have out produced these groups. Have you had any issues with them chewing out of the tubs? Mine have eventually chewed out of every tub I've bought.. But if those are really heavy duty then I'll give them a try.

The smaller tubs are perfect as far as them chewing out of them. The larger tubs I haven't tried yet but they seem to be made really well. If you are just going to have 1.2 then I suggest the smaller tubs. Also I use the 1/2 inch wire and I haven't had one baby rat get out of it. Hope this helps.
