    Yellow Stomach on SD retic
Hey guys, Im just wondering if its typical for SD's to have a yellow belly. I have a 5+ male sd and he is perfectly healthy, but right after his jaw line on his underside it starts to have a yellow tint to it. The underside of his head is white, but then it suddenly turns yellow. Is this typical?

    Thanks, Connor

I think so. My female has the same thing going on. The male is darker with more green/brown/grey. His belly scales are not quite yellow but more of an ivory with darker coloration along the sides of the belly scales. The females belly is quite yellow by comparison. I think its a good thing. Im hoping her high yellow is passed to the offspring and I dont get any as dark as the male. They are difficult to photograph out of their enclosures or I would post belly pics. I did just post a thread about pairing them up though.

I've seen this color difference on a couple different species, so I think it's pretty common.

My Dumeril's for example, has large blotch of white under her head but it immediately cuts off for her full yellow belly. It doesn't blend, it's just different colored scales all of the sudden right?

    :)
