Cage insolation

Ok, so I'm regulating my BP's cage fairly well so far. All the temps and humidity seem to be holding fairly well. my problem is this, at night it gets cold here. I live in Utah, the temps outside are REALLY weird right now. Yesterday a storm dumped 6 inches of snow on the ground and today its 60 degrees according to my outdoor thermometer and the snows all gone. It takes a lot of monitoring and adjusting to keep Medusa's cage at the temps that its at.

My Dads suggestion got me thinking, is there a way to insolate the cage to make it so the ambient temp of the cage isn't effected by the ambient temp of my bedroom (Where she is).

I've tried wrapping blankets around her cage and that helped a bit, but I'm afraid that will cover the air holes. I Can't be the only BP owner in utah, anybody have any suggestions or ideas?

Mylar has a 97% reflection :D Glorified tin foil basically.

I had the same problem, I'm in NS, Canada... I used foam board with mylar on the inside. There's a 10*C degree difference for the tank.

You could cover the back and sides of the tank with foam core of pink foam insUlation.

What air holes are you worried about covering? The top?

Yes originally I was thinking I could cover the top as well since heat rises and not lose so much heat but I've moved on to other ideas now. Although I did cover three sides with foam board. I had it covered with paper but switched... figure it couldn't hurt.

You could cover about 3/4ths of the screen top. Just make sure you use something that resists water do the material doesn't soak up humidity from the air.

I'll try that as well. I'm also looking at heat lamps. Posted another question about those as well. Thanks so much for the help.
