Does anyone here have any experience with MHD's? My boyfriend and I recently got a couple and I've been scanning the net looking for some other owner's to swap stories and get advise from but haven't had much luck as any forum I've found seems dead!!

My buddy picked up a male MHD about 6 months ago. He keeps a variety of plants in a large, sealed off plant room in his basement and he lets the MHD run around the room. Pretty cool animal. A bit bitey though! For the most part, it just sits amongst the plants basking. If you approach him he usually darts off. A couple times a week we dump a cup of crickets in the room and he eats them up pretty fast.

I should try to get a good picture of him if I can get close enough!!

Wow!! I've got my guys in a 40 gal tank turned on its end for now with about 7 strand of ivy vines, 3 tall branches and i thick bendy vine for now. We're working on building them a much nicer enclosure as when we got them we were completely misinformed about their habitat needs.

Our little guys (well girl and guy) aren't bitey at all!! They love to just sit on your shoulder and hang out. My girl loves night crawlers and will eat 2 every day but our male literally turns his nose up at the worms and will only eat crickets, and sometimes meal worms but we try and stay away from those.
