    How to fix temp problem
This is my problem.... i have two uth's one for a hot side and one for a cool side... the hot side the bottom of the tank reads around 94-95 usually this ia controlled by a repti temp 500r... the cool side uth the lowest i can get it is at 91-92 at the bottom of the tank this is controlled by a deluxe repti temp rheostat . The top of the cypress is about 85 though. Should i get rid of the cool side uth all together? or is this ok ?

.... I realize im stupid and because i have more control with the 500r i can just switch the old hot side to the cold side and vice versa sorry lol

I'm sure some other people will jump in but I have one UTH in my tank with a repti temp 500r and I have it set so it keeps the hot side 90-94 and with that the cool side stays between 79-82.

I would turn down your cool side rheostat until the temp at the bottom of the substrate is around 85*, that way the surface temp is around 80*.

I think the OP stated that he already had his rheostat dialed down as low as it would go.

You could try plugging in your rheostat/uth combo into the thermostat as well. That way the cool side uth would cycle on and off along with your warm side uth -- I would think this should help get your cool side temp about perfect.
