Does this look like the "ovulation tail suck" to you?
Well, I went to feed my big normal female a rat today, and she totally refused. The only time she has ever refused for me was when she was gravid last year. At that time I didn't know there was such as thing as an "ovulation tail suck." So, after she refused her meal for a half an hour I turned her over, and her vent area looks more concave than usual. She is such a large snake, that it is really hard to tell if she has a bulge in her belly. She has bred with a male six times over the past couple of months, so I am expecting that she will become gravid again. But I am wondering if you guys think this looks like the "tail suck" thing they are supposed to get?

I totally missed her ovulation last year, and I wasn't sure if it's because she is normally so chubby or because I just wasn't looking when it happened. I can't remember exactly how long she fasted but I think it was well over 2 months. Is that typical?
