Info on Sub Saharan Local?-The Giants
I was just curious if anyone knew anything on these guys and had any good pictures of some really big ones. What I know is they come from a a Mountain range in Ghana, they get well over 3000g, can get over 6ft, and have huge heads and clutches. I'm kinda curious to anything thats going on with them as far as breeding them into morphs and stuff. Thanks

Um I think some one is trying to scam. Maybe not but.. Ball pythons all come from sub-Saharan Africa. Non of them live in the mountain ranges. (it gets below freezing there) They can all get well over 3000g. Range in length from 3-6 feet. They all can also have large clutches (13-20 eggs).

I don't know but they sound the same to me. I think some one is just trying to make more money.

I heard BG'S buddy just imported a 7000 gram male last month. :O:O

The value in these giants is to breed them into morphs, raise those morph girls up, and have a Bumble Bee lets say -- drop 12-15 eggs. :)

I believe in fact that they come from Ghana.

Can someone who has imported some verify this?

The story BG heard was they come from some mountain area, but BG forgets where. These things are monsters.

There are the same species?? Different subspecies?? I'm asking because wondering about eventuality of genetic pollution in our CB Ball python population.

I think they were just old healthy ball pythons my self. They have supposedly been being imported for some time now by Outback.
