"visit a herp"? vet?
Could be mites, or respitory infection,or him getting exess shed off. BPs will rub their face when they have RI. Is he making popping or clicking sounds, or sneezing or anything like that? . Give him a bath for the eye dent that should help.

Could it be a retained eyecap? If you kept his shed, check to see if the eyecaps came off. If they didn't, bump the humidity up a little bit, or give him a nice warm soak for 10-15 and it should come right off if you rub very gently with a q-tip.
If it's not a retained eyecap, it may still be because of dehydration. Just give him a nice spray down, and it should go right back to normal.
If it's none of that, and the rubbing continues it's usually bad news bears. It could be cause of mites or RI, so a herp vet visit would be in order. Check to see if you hear popping or wheezing, and if there are fluids near the nose or mouth. If it's mites, check for little moving spots anywhere on his body. They're usually no bigger than the period at the end of this scentence.

Thanks for the responses.
As mentioned, there are no signs of mites and he had a good shed last week. Came off in one piece, including the eyecaps.
Also no signs of an RI. Was holding him today when I noticed the eye dent and could hear no unusual noises (popping, wheezing).
He seems happy enough and ate 2 days ago with no problems.

What is his enclosure like?
Rubbing can be due to a retained eyecap, or just stress. How big is the enclosure? What are you measuring the humidity with?

Enclosure IS on the large side (came with him from previous owners) but he sits quite happily in his hide(s) all day and roams a little at night.
Humidity is measured with digital reader measuring temperature at both ends plus humidity.
Both eyecaps appear to have shed properly. This definitely looks like a dent, though I guess it could be hard to tell if it's a tiny bit...

Any other ideas anyone? As i said, temps and humidity are fine and there is no sign of mites. It's possible this dent in the eye could have been there since I got him in February and I've only just notice. If this is the case, is there anything I can do to rectify it or is there damage already done?
Regarding the head rubbing, I cant hear any wheezing or popping and can see no evidence of mucus around the mouth or nose...

Have you tried soaking him to see if the humidity in that makes it pop back out?
One of my girls managed to dent her eye quite noticeably - but she was in shed and it looked perfectly fine afterwards.
