    Taping Probes to UTH's?
Kinda wondering if I did this right, Got opera's basking ranco in today and set it up. Taped the ambient/colubrid hotspot probes to the other UTH.

    Did I do this right?

    Did I get it right?

I set her thermostat on basking to 93. Gonna let them settle for an hour or two before I go and check temps.

I would put the probe on the black part, but yes, other then that it looks right.

So Should I go move it? The little guy and gal had about enough of me lifting there cages :P

Where on the black? I was trying to go for the center. But the thermostats are going on and off. Not straight on.

You mean they are clicking on and off? That is normal, that is how they regulate the heat. When it gets too hot, they turn off, when it gets too cold, they turn on.

Stick the probe in the middle of the black somewhere. There is no "exact" placement.

I know I meant that to say, they aren't staying on so atleast it's still getting decent readings.

I'll go move them then thanks Kaorte! Your always helping me out!

the middle(clear) spot dont heat up. Tape it to the black area on the UTH and your fine.

I got um moved over, I feel alot better now that I have my new thermostat in.

Not if only I could decide my opinion of the substrate.
