How long can you keep asf's in a all male tub? Will they start to fight at a given age even when females aren't present? I'd like to get some really big, 6 months or more.

I think they would only start to fight if there are sexually mature females present. I used to put the newly weaned ASFs into the female grow out tubs. Then move the males out when they started to show their "family jewels"

ASFs are nice rodents until you get the sexes mixed. An all male tub wont fight, not in my experience anyways and I have about 50 of them living together right now.

I wean, put males and females together, let them grow up for about 2-3 weeks and then separate into male and female tubs.

AS for the question at hand; When I wean I seperated the boys and the girls into their own tubs I have never had problems with them (the boys) fighting. I have seen the older males cuddle up with the younger ones.
