    b.p. lingo and handleling
i had a b.p. 4 yrs ago when i was in the military had to get rid of him when i deployed but i was hooked i am now getting back into them i own three beautiful b.p.'s i constantly read threads on here to learn as much as i can but i am stuck on some of the lingo that is used ... morph b.p ... natural b.p. ect. i have guesed that morph would be a b.p. of different design and color than that of its parents and natural would be your normal every day b.p. Can some one help me here to confirm or correct me also to let me know of some of the other words that i may come across .....

also i handle my b.p.'s bout 20 to 30 min daily if not longer i leave them alone for a couple days after feeding and during thier sheds... my children love them and i let them handle them a lil bit supervised every now and then my other ? is can they be over handled if so whats the min and max per snake per day?

they are all very friendly and i have not seen any aggressiveness from any of them

Well, there are many many differnt morphs or "paintjobs". Check out some of the breeders websites linked in the ads on this website and you should find a bit more information on them. Basically, they are just genetic mutations which give the snake different coloration than your "normal" ball python. A normal ball python doesn't have any special genetics and is commonly sold in pet stores.

20-30 minutes a day isn't too bad. I try to limit handling sessions to 10-15 minutes. They can be over handled, but I don't think 30 minutes a day will do it. Handling is sometimes stressful for them and you will learn to read your snakes body language to know when they have had enough.

We handle ours between 10 minutes and an hour when we handle them, and they don't seem to mind.

Collection is handled about 1-2 times a month unless they pee or poop.

Keep in mind handling is a privilege and not to be over done as its an inconvenience to them
