BP is interested but wont bite :(
i got a new BP last friday, so 7 days ago, and it wouldnt feed on its feeding day, the day after i got her. I have just tried to tangle a medium mouse infront of her and she is intersted, (flicking her tounge, going up to it looking around it) but just wont bite and take it, any tips on how to solve this?

    Cheers in advance

Are you feeding live or prekilled?

Mine took 3 weeks to eat and now eats right on schedule...it took awhile for him to get settled and for me to get my husbandry on track...once I did that he got with the program

Did whoever you got it from feed live?
If so that is probably why, and if not check and make sure everythings right in the tank (proper temp, humidity etc.).

um i think they fed frozen and i did notice the temp in my room decreased which made the tank to like 80 degrees but radiators come on now so should rise quickly. Is it worth trying again when the temperature increases? if so is it worth also getting the humidity back up to about 60% with a light mist? ( it decreased with temperature.)

That could have been it, depending on how long the tank was like this.
How long did you have the mouse in there?
I've heard you sometimes need to dangle it in front of them for awhile before they take it, mine can just stare at it for up to five minutes sometimes just making sure he's in the perfect striking position. (I feed live though)

had the mouse dangling for about 2 mins before she started backing up into her hide, then left it outside when she came outside again but retreated once more, she then didnt come back out. so about 10 minutes she was near it. Ive left it in the room to scent the room and will try agian in the minute hoping she has come out o her hide.

Patience, grasshopper. I would say let them be for a week or so. Then try...Sometimes the move upsets them and the week off helps everything.
