Holy Crap...

I always read these threads where snakes escape, but I've never had it happen to myself...until tonight. I got home and checked up on everybody and my female pastel YB was just gone. Fortunately, I found her within 5 minutes of this discovery, but I was scared poopless there for a few minutes. Check your cages & tubs before you leave your animals, otherwise, you might pay for it.

This is why I have locks on all my tubs and make a habit of locking them every single time. I even find myself locking up empty tubs and storage tubs, haha!

One day I was sitting at my computer and I noticed Zeus doing a lot of cruising... About ten minutes later he actually pushed so hard on the cover of his tub that it popped open! Good thing I was in the room haha.


Needless to say we went out and bought a tub that locks instead of just latching.

I use tubs with locking handles, luggage straps, and binder clips...
