i am thinking of buying some kind of lizard 2 live in one of my current royal pythons viv once i move them into the rack system i am building.
it is a 36'' x 18'' x 21'' viv, wot would be most suited to this size viv and wot would u suggest?
1.1 yellow belly royal python (osiris & isis)
0.1 pastel royal python (artemis)
1.1 hermans tortoise (dylan & gilmour)
Re: wot lizzard should i get?
Definitely not a monitor, of any kind.
Re: wot lizzard should i get?
Maybe some kind of gecko, or skink? I like crocodile skinks.
Re: wot lizzard should i get?
Sounds like a 30 gal. You could get a few leopard geckos. It's too big for cresties. Ultrauramastic maybe. Might be OK for ONE bearded dragon.
Agama's maybe? That might work out.

Leopard geckos, their like ball pythons to geckos. They have so many color morphs to chose from.
Re: wot lizzard should i get?
Deffinilty not a Bearde, if you want them happy than nothing smaller than a 80 gallon, i have mine in a 180 gallon and only when he was put in there did his appetite sky rocketed, and so did his level of activity, for an aquarium that size you could get a pair of cresties, a single Ackie monitor, or maybe even a small female brown basilisk.

cheers guys, think im goin 2 go for 2 maybe 3 leopard geckos.
have seen some fantastic morphs available and think ive made my mind up now.

Many of our herps would just "survive" in small inadequate enclosures, but we're not looking for our herps to just survive. We are looking for them to thrive. A 4x2x2 is the SMALLEST an ackie should have.
Would the ackie survive? Maybe. Would it be happy and healthy? No. The glass would not hold the 12 inches of dirt the ackie needs, nor would it hold the heat they need. Its also not wide enough. The ackie would be touching both sides when turning around. The ackie will have a diminished appetite because of the lack of requirements met for their needs.
Would the ackie live in the 36x18x21 glass enclosure? Maybe. Would it be cruel? In my opinion, yes.
