heat in the tank

So i know youre not supposed to keep the heat up in the tank because of burns, but is there any other reason?

I'm not sure I follow your question? :confused:

If you are asking why we regulate the temps it's fairly simple - temps too low can prevent them eating and digesting their food properly and, over prolonged exposure, lower their ability to fight off disease leading to them getting sick. Eventually they would probably die either of starvation or illness.

Temps too high can, however, kill them in a matter of hours and cause permanent neurological damage even sooner than that.

It is best to stick with the recommended range and not play about with extremes of either end. :gj:

lol yeah i wasn't planning on messing with the temps or anything, I was just wondering if burns were the main reason for why we have to get the heat on the warm side to a certain point. You did answer my question though thanks :)
