You'll never maintain temps in there as soon as you open the door all your heat or cool goes rushing out.. My suggestion would be find a closet in the house that the two of you can comprmise on and more them there..

The garage is probably not the best place for them unless you sealed it off and converted it into a livable space with heating. If you are using the garage for cars though, that wouldn't be possible.

Is there any way you could talk with your wife about this? The garage is not a livable space for any animal, especially one that is native to Equatorial Africa..

get the garage door roller shutters. not the big open one.

Then keep your car OUTSIDE the garrage and build a fake wall behind the garage door ( inside ) and insulate the room as much as possible.

You will then find that your temps are better and you can use the whole garage as a reptile room.

Or corner off a section of the garage and build fake walls around it and get an exaust fan to keep the air going in and out.

Surely someone will tell you more on this.

I beg to differ on this. In the state of Michigan my buddy has his garage for all his snakes heated and insulated. if done properly anyone can use garages/sheds for any reptile in general

yes, I mean I do struggle with temps, but ALL the animals are sheeding eating ect. I could build a little corner room, that could work(wheels turning)But meanwhile Im going to insulate the racks the best I can.plus the animals under there hides are warm to the touch, but ambients, not so much:(, on a good note im in california and are lows ,well not really low:)

p.s and as far as exhaust, my frogs do great , so my green canarys in the coal mine dont lie, lol

    thnx

I meant a garage that is being used as a garage, not a converted living space.
